In 1911 New York City Triangle shirtwaist factory many young girls had to work to help their family with food and taxes. A lot of them complaned and they could not go to the doctor or to school like we can these days. They a fire all the doors were locked and 146 people died because they had to jump out the building 8 stores high,also because  of illness. Most werenot even egicated.
